EXPERTISE

Binish Sarwar Khan is serving the Institute of Home Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. She is a Ph.D Scholars and holds a M.Phil. degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad-Pakistan. Her research interests are Clinical Impact of Diet Modulation on Different Diseases, Food Drivers in Consumers to Choose, Different Products in Markets, Diet Diversification and Personalized Nutrition, Public Health and Community, Gender Disparities, Social Sector Growth and Novel techniques in Advocacy and Out-reach Services in Health Sectors. She has won “Lady of Lyallpur Award” from the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the category of Nutritionist & “Recognition Award” from the Rotary Club, Faisalabad in the category of Nutrition. She has been worked with USAID and UNICEF as an Advocacy Campaign Facilitator, Social and Gender Activist and Community Nutritionist Activist (CNA). She also worked as a Third Part Monitoring in Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) for last 10 years.

Role in pknc

As a Co-Chair of policy, advocacy & outreach she will manage the reports on situation analysis regarding nutrition policy in Pakistan & COVID19, development & writing of policy papers, arrangement & execution of consultative meetings involving all stakeholders. Moreover, articles, print media & electronic media for advocacy. Development of nutrition advocacy manual, development of brochures, handout & participatory boards for outreach & advocacy.

Furthermore, these implications will be disseminated to the concerned stakeholders as prescribed in this project.
